I love speaking and teaching opportunities. This makes me feel deeply connected with the UX community. I have presented in conferences, taught courses/webinars and have been part of panels as well.

For a few years, while a grad student at Duke University, I mentored local middle school students part of the BOOST Program. This was one of the most rewarding experiences in grad school. Currently, I mentor designers and researchers who are either transitioning in the field or aiming to advance their careers.
I would not be able to progress in my career without the support of many generous people in our community. To pay it forward in scale, I’ve been volunteering with UXPA International since 2015. I served the organization in various ways: as an onsite conference volunteer, exhibits chair, director of education, director of sponsorship, and I’m currently the vice-president of the organization.
Looking back, I realized that many of my decisions are driven by learning opportunities. One of the most exciting ways to learn is by travelling. These images are from 2 weeks spent in Japan where I took several art classes. It was an amazing opportunity for learning and personal growth.
